Meet Maria
Taught by PARENT EDUCATOR & CHILDREN'S AUTHOR Maria Dismondy
Maria is a mother of three school aged children and thought about their mental health the minute schools were closed back in March 2020 due to Covid-19. How would being pulled out of their classroom, away from their friends and teachers affect them?
With so many unknowns, Maria offered classes that focused on positive character traits and social skills. Both tools that will build kids up and tap into their mental well being. With over 20 years in education and 10 popular books in the world (both picture books and parenting) Maria found the Sunny Side Homeschool to be the silver lining during a worldwide pandemic. A place where children found positivity and learned how they handle situations that are less than ideal.

Live classes every Tuesday and Thursday 1/5/21-2/18/21 (14 lessons in all)
- Ideal for grades K-3
- 3:00pm EST (2:00 PM CST & 12:00 PM PST)
- Engaging social emotional lessons
- Interactive discussions before and after class

- Brain Breaks (movement during class)
- Creative object lessons (demonstrations by the instructor that feel like science experiments!)
- Handouts for incorporating concepts at home
- FREE Replays will be available until 3/30/21 (recordings will not include children interactions which take place at the start and end of the class.)

Where does this class take place?
LIVE on Zoom. You will also have the option to purchase access to 14 additional recorded lessons to be viewed at your leisure.
What does my child need for class?
A piece of paper and a pencil! Each class will have a piece at the end where children apply what they have learned. Even our youngest learners can participate by drawing instead of writing!
What if the class is not a fit for my child?
No problem! You have one week after the start of the first class to request a refund.
What are the class themes?
Live Classes Include: Community, Kindness, Problem Solving, Respect, Empathy, Resilience, Mistakes, Self-Esteem, Feelings, Sportsmanship, Honesty, Getting Along with Others (siblings), Inclusion and Mindset!
Recordings Include: Generosity, Responsibility, Making a Difference, Creativity, Perseverance, Leadership, Friendship, Patience, Work Ethic, Peace, Diversity, Bullying, Manners and Teamwork.
