FACILITATOR:
Nationally recognized author, publisher and speaker Maria Dismondy is dedicated to inspiring and empowering children. She has authored nine children’s books and made more than 800 speaking appearances. She lives in southeast Michigan with her husband, Dave, and their three children.

Tessa Allen is an author, illustrator, dancer, and teaching artist. Her work often explores history, memory, and the stories that shape our communities. She loves multigenerational dance parties and any chance to make a feast. Tessa grew up on the West Coast and now lives and grows in Brooklyn.

Nikki Bergstresser is the author of Seasons for Stones and Lila Lou's Little Library. She lives on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada, with her husband and two daughters. Nikki can be found surrounded by books and a good story to share.

Gabi is a mama, children’s book author, and licensed professional counselor. She spent 21 years learning from the children she worked with in the public schools, something she is immensely grateful for. These experiences, along with just being a human on this planet, inspire the books she writes.

Pat Zietlow Miller is the author of 23 picture books — 13 out now and 10 on their way. She loves reading, writing, cats, chocolate, bookstores and libraries. She lives in Wisconsin.

Innosanto Nagara has written and illustrated six children’s books for progressive families. A is for Activist was his first book. It is also in picture book format, as well as adapted to Spanish by Martha Gonzalez as A de Activista. His latest book is Oh, the Things We’re For!.
